Oberlosa
Manor Manor
History & Location Oberlosa
First mentioned in 1266, Oberlosa Manor stands as a testament to the rich history and heritage of Saxony. This distinguished estate, once owned by notable families such as the von Jössnitz and von Tettau, has witnessed centuries of significant historical events and transitions. From its early days of supreme jurisdiction over nearby estates to its role in the Peasants' War and later becoming a chamber estate of Duke Moritz of Saxony, Oberlosa Manor has a storied past.
In the late 17th century, it was entrusted to the Baron Müffling family, who contributed to its architectural and cultural legacy. The manor saw prosperous times under the ownership of the Hartenstein and Zeidler families, flourishing alongside the industrial boom in Plauen. However, after being expropriated in 1945 and subsequently used by an agricultural college, the manor's grandeur began to fade.
Today, Kraftmar is dedicated to restoring Oberlosa Manor to its former glory. Our meticulous renovation project aims to preserve its historic essence while introducing modern functionalities. Join us as we bring this magnificent piece of history back to life, honoring its past and creating a legacy for the future.
